2024 Toyota 4Runner Soldiers On with New Paint Color. Plate tectonics and the Toyota 4Runner both advance at roughly the same rate. The fifth version of Toyota’s body-on-frame mid-size SUV, which had its public premiere at the Texas State Fair in 2009, has been a mainstay on Toyota dealership lots all over the country and received a mid-cycle redesign for the 2014 model year. And if a spectacular new paint colour has anything to do with it, it isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.
The 2024 4Runner was unveiled by Toyota, and as you probably have predicted by this point, Terra is the highlight of the new model year. The TRD Pro variation, an off-road-focused trim that also happens to be the most expensive of the group, will be available in this orangey, brownish earth tone.

The cost of entry for a 2023 4Runner TRD Pro was a cool $56,015, but the 2024 model hikes it by $300 to $56,315. A 4Runner may be yours for as little as $41,850, so you’ll really need to want that paint. If not, though, it is still an option. Most trims provide customers with the option of rear- or four-wheel drive, with the exception of the pricey off-road variants that exclusively have four-wheel drive. Since 41 isn’t really that big of a deal, 2023’s 40th Anniversary Special Edition isn’t aboard on the voyage this year.
In all other respects, the 4Runner continues in 2024. The same 4.0-liter V-6 engine that produces 278 pound-feet of torque and 270 horsepower still powers the vehicle, sending power to all four wheels via a five-speed automated gearbox. All models have a 5000-pound towing capacity. The Toyota Safety Sense P suite of driver assistance, which includes automatic high beams, adaptive cruise control, and emergency braking, is also included with every 4Runner.
