BMW i5 2024 Price in Pakistan. The mid-size 2024 i5 sedan, which will bridge the gap between the 10Best Award-winning i4 and the extra-premium i7 flagship, is BMW’s executive express’ first all-electric vehicle. The i5 is anticipated to combine luxurious amenities with a fun driving experience, just like those two EV four-doors.

Beginning with a rear-drive eDrive40 variant with 335 horsepower, two powertrains will be available. A robust 590 horsepower is added by the dual-motor M60 xDrive, which also delivers all-wheel drive traction.

What’s New for 2024?
The i5 offers an electric vehicle (EV) option for customers considering BMW‘s mid-size sedan lineup and makes its debut alongside a brand-new version of the gasoline-powered 5-series. It should be available in BMW shops by the end of 2023.
The eDrive40 will be able to cruise for a little while longer than the performance-oriented M60 model if you’re aiming to maximise range. But because we enjoy driving, we’d willingly give up a little bit of range for more power and cornering grip.

Interior, Comfort, and Cargo:
The interior of the i5 is equally as roomy and luxurious as the 5-series fueled by petrol. The battery doesn’t obstruct the interior, although the trunk is a little bit smaller than it was in the 5-series. A set of glass interior controls is also available and gives the sedan’s interior a sophisticated touch.

Leather upholstery is still an option, but BMW is introducing a new faux-leather upholstery called Veganza in the i5. The M60 xDrive comes standard with heated and ventilated front seats, whereas they are an option on the eDrive40.
EV Motor, Power, and Performance:
There are two i5 variants available, the first of which is the 335-hp eDrive40, which uses a single electric motor to drive the rear wheels. For a combined 590 horsepower, a second electric motor is added to the front axle of a hotter M60 xDrive variant. We were delighted by the sedan’s nimble handling, self-assured levels of cornering grip, and robust dual-motor powertrain during our first drive in an i5 M60 prototype.

These driving impressions were confirmed on a test drive of production cars in Portugal, where we also had the chance to experience the i5’s smooth ride over the area’s potholed pavement. We tested the eDrive40 and M60 variants while there, and based on our estimates, the i5 can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.3 seconds with the more potent of the two powertrains. Active anti-roll bars, a sportier suspension setting, bigger tyres, and rear-wheel steering are further features added to M60 versions to further enhance the car’s athletic appearance.
Battery Life, Charging, and Range:
Under the i5’s floorboards is an 84.3-kWh battery pack, which according to BMW can provide 295 miles of eDrive40 model range between charges. Although less efficient, the dual-motor M60 variant has a 256-mile range per charge. The battery pack of the automobile may be connected to DC fast-charging stations, and it is claimed that with such a connection, it can charge from 10 to 80 percent in 30 minutes. In relation to charging, BMW will provide every new i5 with three years’ worth of cost-free 30-minute charging sessions at Electrify America charging points.
Fuel Economy and Real-World MPGe:
The eDrive40, which has a highway mileage rating of up to 105 MPGe, is the most economical i5 variant, according to the EPA. The M60 xDrive, which is only expected to achieve 86 MPGe on the highway, is at the other end of the range. When we have the opportunity, we’ll drive the i5 on our 75 mph highway fuel economy route and update this article with the results of our tests.
Connectivity and Information
The dashboard of the i5 is dominated by a huge, curved panel with a 12.3-inch digital gauge display and a 14.9-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system. The most recent iDrive 8.5 interface from BMW is simple to use and can be updated via over-the-air updates if necessary. All variants come standard with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, in-dash navigation, a wireless smartphone charging pad, a Harman/Kardon sound system, and an onboard Wi-Fi hotspot. A head-up display is an optional feature.
Features for Driver Assistance and Safety
Automated emergency braking and blind-spot monitoring are among the driver-assistance features that come standard on the i5, while more sophisticated options, such as BMW’s Highway Assistant hands-free driving mode, are available. Visit the websites of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) for more details regarding the results of the i5’s crash tests. Important safety elements include:
- Pedestrian identification in automatic emergency braking standards
- Lane-keeping assistance and the standard lane-departure warning
- Available hands-free driving mode for adaptive cruise control
Coverage for Warranties and Maintenance
The i5 comes standard with the same warranty protection as BMW’s other electrified vehicles, which includes more comprehensive protection for the electric vehicle’s components and basic coverage for four years or 50,000 miles. A comprehensive maintenance programme for three years is also included with every new BMW.
- Four years or 50,000 miles are covered under the limited warranty.
- Four years or 50,000 miles are covered by the powertrain warranty.
- The guarantee period for EV parts is eight years or 100,000 miles.
