The i7’s electric drivetrain is similar to that of the business’s new EV SUV, the iX, and uses dual electric motors—one driving each axle—producing a combined 536 horsepower. The i7 shares the same spacious, lavish, and upscale interior as the gasoline-powered 7-series because they were jointly designed. The i7 distinguishes itself from rivals like the Mercedes-Benz EQS and the Tesla Model S with a bevy of high-tech convenience features in addition to luxury.
