Honda Civic Type R 2023 Price in Pakistan. The 2023 Honda Civic Type R has finally been revealed by Honda. At least, it was mostly revealed. We still don’t know how many horsepowers it has or what was done to its chassis, except that bits have been “enhanced.” What we do know is that the latest generation of Honda’s most popular hatchback is said to be more powerful than ever.
It also appears more mature, which was an easy hurdle to overcome given that its predecessor resembled something out of the Japanese anime series Gundam Wing. The 2023 Honda Civic Type R is the most powerful model ever. Engineered from the ground up to provide a thrilling, addictive driving experience on and off the racetrack. The low and wide design is sleek and sophisticated, with advanced aerodynamics that is beautifully integrated. Honda is celebrating 30 years of Type R and 50 years of Civic this year.

The 2023 Honda Civic Type R, a global high-performance icon revered by driving enthusiasts worldwide, was revealed this evening at a special event in Los Angeles, with NTT INDYCAR SERIES superstar driver Colton Herta behind the wheel. The all-new Honda Civic Type R is the most powerful model in the Type R’s 30-year history, and it was designed from the ground up to deliver thrilling performance and an addictive driving experience – both on the road and on the racetrack.
It’s no secret that the styling of the previous Civic Type R was divisive. To be sure, the new CTR does not elicit such strong reactions, for better or worse. However, we think it looks fantastic, with only a few racy add-ons that don’t detract from the otherwise restrained design. Sure, some fake vents remain for the show, but the ones behind the front wheels are now real.
The rear spoiler remains a prominent feature, but it is no longer a caricature of a boy racer. /PRNewswire/ HAWTHORNE, Calif., July 20, 2022, The 2023 Honda Civic Type R, a global high-performance icon revered by driving enthusiasts worldwide, was revealed this evening at a special event in Los Angeles, with NTT INDYCAR SERIES superstar driver Colton Herta behind the wheel. Exterior:
Those aren’t minor details, but Honda promises more will be revealed soon. What we can tell you right now is that the new Civic Type R is the most powerful Type R yet. According to Honda, it is the fastest and most powerful Honda-branded vehicle ever offered to US buyers. The familiar turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine from the previous Type R remains under the hood, sending power to the front wheels via a revised six-speed manual transmission. There is no sequential gearbox, all-wheel drive, or exotic hybrid technology.
It’s a proper old-school hot hatchback in terms of powertrain. The new wheel-and-tire combination on the R-rated Civic is easily overlooked but extremely important. The last one was equipped with 20-inch rims and 245/30 Continental SportContact 6 summer tyres with pancake-thin sidewalls. Fortunately, a smaller set of lightweight 19-inch rollers with thicker sidewalls is now required. Don’t worry, Honda only reduces the wheel diameter. The contact patch on the CTR is now noticeably wider, thanks to the new 265/30 Michelin Pilot Sport 4S summer tyres.
Interior:
Normally, the big news about a new Civic Type R would be its performance specifications. Unfortunately, those are being kept under wraps until Honda makes them public closer to the car’s release this fall. Fortunately, we have some hard facts about what’s going on under the hood to tide us over. Its unspecified power is provided by a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder. A six-speed manual transmission with rev-matching is once again the engine’s lap-time partner.
According to Honda, it will be the “most powerful Type R ever.” The previous version in the United States had 306 horsepower, while those in Europe and Japan had 316 horses. Is it safe to assume the 2023 Civic Type R will have at least 317 horsepower? The way Honda phrased it suggests this, but corporate marketing is a fickle friend, so we’ll just have to wait and see. This also applies to the suspension and steering. They’ve improved in some ways. That’s all we know for the time being.
Other Features:
The new Civic Type R, like the previous model, has some distinctive bodywork. It’s still only available as a hatchback, as is customary, and has flared fenders that set it apart from lesser Civics. Honda also gives it wider rear doors than the standard hatchback. The side sills are another distinctive feature, and the rear features a black diffuser with the Type R’s signature triple-tip, centre-exit exhaust.
We first saw camouflaged prototypes of the 2023 Honda Civic Type R over a year ago. Honda launched an official teaser campaign six months ago, featuring everything from auto show appearances to lap record attempts, all while the cars were still wrapped in camo. The wait is finally over, and everything is revealed. Except for a few minor differences in power, performance, and price.
Red Carpet Treatment:
Inside, the Type R’s front seats are available in any colour you want as long as it’s bright red. We had the opportunity to sit in these new buckets and can confirm that they are extremely comfortable. For the first time, the US-spec model will be greeted with a red carpet, a treatment previously reserved for other markets.
As of now, we don’t know whether Honda will offer a black carpet. As with the engine, Honda isn’t ready to share details on the Civic Type R’s underpinnings other than the fact that it’s “enhanced.” We do know that the new model is lower, longer, and wider than the previous one. It also has a wider set of Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres, which helped the new Type R set a front-wheel-drive lap record at Suzuka.
We finally get a good look at the Type R’s massive rear wing in context with the car. Not only that, but the front clip is more aggressive, with a mesh grille and revised corner intakes. Subtle side sills on the fenders behind the front wheels work in tandem with the intakes to improve airflow efficiency throughout the vehicle.
Type R wheels and tyres neatly fill bulged fender flares, and the hot hatch has wider rear doors than the standard Civic to maintain the sporty look. The exterior makeover is completed by a rounded rear fascia with a diffuser and a triple-exit exhaust. The rest of the hot hatch’s interior is similar to the top trims of the regular Civic hatchback. A 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, automatic dual-zone climate control, and a fully digital gauge cluster are all standard.
Performance-Focused Engineering
A new lightweight and highly rigid body contribute to increased high-speed stability and scalpel-sharp responses. Civic Type R’s track-ready, Nürburgring-tuned, and tested driving feel is enhanced even further by improved suspension and steering performance.
For an even more intimate and rewarding connection with the driver, an even more powerful and responsive version of Honda’s award-winning turbocharged 2.0-litre engine is paired with an improved six-speed manual transmission and rev-matching system.
Powerful Aerodynamic Design
The new Type R’s muscular yet sleek and sophisticated design features beautifully integrated advanced aerodynamics to achieve well-balanced downforce and drag reduction. Brawny fenders extend over lightweight wheels with wider tyres. A more aggressive front bumper design incorporates a sporty honeycomb grille mesh that mirrors the intricate honeycomb trim found inside the cabin.
Airflow efficiency is improved by larger front fender grilles and a new side sill design behind the front wheels. Wider rear doors exclusive to Type R, a redesigned rear spoiler, and a reshaped rear bumper that reveals its signature three-round exhaust outlets and new rear diffuser all contribute to its more aggressive stance. The Civic Type R will be available in five eye-catching colours: Honda enthusiasts adore Historic Championship White, a Type R exclusive finish. Rallye Red, Boost Blue, Crystal Black Pearl, and Sonic Grey Pearl are the colours available.
Immersive Cockpit Experience
The all-new interior of the Civic Type R supports intense driving experiences with emotive, performance-focused details and features. For the 2023 model year, the Type R’s iconic red seats, carpet, trim, and a serialised Type R plate now mounted on the dash are all new. In high-G driving situations, suede-like upholstery with a high friction coefficient reduces body slippage.
With a graphic engine rpm display, rev indicator lights, and gear position indicator placed at the top, a new +R driving mode exclusive metre design allows the driver to obtain necessary information instantly. A lower multi-information display can show the driver-selected vehicle information.
