Exterior:
It is more of the same because the inside has been carried over from the HR-V, which itself shares the majority of the cabin with the most recent Civic. The configuration of the ZR-V is more modern and tidy since it uses buttons for the automatic transmission rather than the big gear lever. In order to add warmth, it also gets burgundy accents and orange stitching.

Underneath the recognisable appearance is where the main difference between the HR-V and the US-spec HR-V may be found. The North American model’s 2.0-litre gasoline engine alone generates 158 horsepower and 138 lb-ft of torque, while the JDM-spec ZR-V makes use of the Civic e: hybrid HEV’s technology. The vehicle that is being shown here has blue Honda badges and an e: HEV insignia on the tailgate. The compact crossover will also be offered with the 1.5-litre gasoline engine, and both will have AWD in the Land of the Rising Sun.
Interior:
The Japanese ZR-V differs from the American HR-V in that it has a smoother front bumper and does not have the same size gloss black faux air intakes. Similar in design, the grille is filled with vertical black slats as opposed to a honeycomb mesh. Instead of having black side skirts and wheel arch protectors like the HR-gloss V does, the ZR-V has body colour side skirts.

Gloss black was replaced with the body colour for the rear bumper. In contrast to the HR-V sold in the US, which has disguised exhaust tips, the ZR-V has finishers with chrome tips that are encircled by a faux-bash-plate portion made of silver. Inside the cabin, similar differences can be noticed. You can choose to have the top section of the ZR-V’s dashboard match the trim on the seat, centre console, doors, and armrests.
The American HR-V combines a 7.0-inch info screen with a traditional speedometer, whereas the instrumentation display in front of the driver is entirely digital in the British model. A series of buttons and switches are used in place of the conventional gear shifter found in the US HR-V, which is a petrol-only vehicle, in the hybrid ZR-V shown here.
