MG 3 2024 Price in Pakistan, Features, Specs

MG 3 2024 Price in Pakistan. Morris Garages (MG) Motors, a Chinese-owned British automotive business, intends to launch the MG 3 hatchback in Pakistan. In its second generation, the automobile is available on the foreign market. The proprietor of MG Pakistan, Javed Afridi, has teased the debut of the MG 3 in Pakistan for less than 2 million rupees. If that happens, the MG 3 will be one of the country’s most cheap hatchbacks.

Under the Automotive Development Policy 2016-20, MG Motors Pakistan just received greenfield status. The automaker is now offering imported CBU models of two SUVs: the MG HS and the MG ZS. MG Pakistan will soon begin local production of its vehicles. However, if and when the MG 3 joins the MG car portfolio, it will be available in CBU units, exactly like its siblings.

The MG 3 is available in two variants: MG 3 Excite and MG 3 Core. Because of its low cost, the series has grown in popularity.

Both models include projector halogen headlamps with manual height adjustment and LED ‘London Eye’ daytime running lights (DRLs). Both models include standard features such as Follow Me Home delayed headlight lighting and an automated headlight illumination system.

Other standard features on the MG 3 include a warning light that blinks, a heated glass back window with a scheduled cut-off, an intermittent rear wiper, and intermittent windscreen wipers. Side sill extensions are only available in the Excite trim level, and metallic paint is optional in both. The MG 3 Core has 15-inch alloy wheels, while the Excite has 16-inch two-tone machined alloy wheels.

Interior:

The interior of the MG 3 appears sleek and utilitarian, however it is made of cheap scratch-prone plastic. The five-seater hatchback includes features that most hatchbacks in the same price range do not, such as reclining front seats, driver seat height adjustment, height-adjustable front head restraints, and outboard rear head restraints.

Both variants include the typical front door storage boxes with bottle holders. Standard storage includes a front cup holder and front seatback map pockets. Other standard amenities include driver and passenger sun visors with vanity mirrors, a leather-trimmed steering wheel with contrast stitching and perforation detail, a premium-trimmed gear knob with an alloy-look accent, and satin chrome accents on the door handles, air vents, and steering wheel. Satellite navigation is available exclusively in the Excite model, but steering wheel audio controls are available in both. Both MG 3 models include six airbags and front doors with side-impact absorbent door cushioning.

Remote control central locking, rear parking sensors, electrically operated door mirrors, and a rearview camera are among the other features. Colours:

MG 3 is available in the following colours:

  • Pitch black
  • Arctic white
  • Thames blue
  • Tudor yellow
  • Tudor yellow white top
  • Ruby red black top
  • Ruby red white top

Engine:

The MG 3 has only one engine option: a 1.5L NA inline petrol engine. The 1498cc engine produces 82 kW at 6000 rpm and a maximum torque of 150 Nm at 4500 rpm. The four-cylinder engine is paired with a four-speed automated gearbox. The engine has a 45-litre fuel capacity. Its spare parts will be readily available on the market, and its maintenance will be both cost-effective and simple.

When it comes to riding and performance, the MG 3 has received mixed reviews. It has a rough ride with annoying vibrations. The buzzy motor makes the ride uncomfortable, and it becomes exceedingly noisy at high speeds. The terrible ride is exacerbated by the inaccurate gearbox and sluggish clutch. Its suspension is also stiff, resulting in a jerky and Jarry ride on bumpy roads. The only area in which it excels is in body control and grip.

Competitor

Suzuki Swift, Kia Picanto, and Toyota Vitz are among the key competitors in the Pakistani market for the MG 3. Although the Suzuki Swift has a 1.3L engine, it is more powerful and produces greater fuel economy than the MG 3. It also outperforms the MG 3 in terms of ride quality and performance.

Toyota Vitz, which is popular in the Pakistani market, is another significant rival. Some of its distinguishing features include the availability of spare parts and the smooth ride. Kia Picanto is likewise a formidable competitor to the MG 3 because of its fuel efficiency and extensive range of practical and effective driver-assist systems.
