Toyota GR Corolla 2024 Price in Pakistan, Features, Specs

Toyota GR Corolla 2024 Price in Pakistan. Look behind the plebeian Corolla appellation and you’ll see that the 2024 Toyota GR Corolla is a car of a completely new species. Apart from the name, the GR Corolla shares only the basic structure and a few interior components with the brand’s well-known commuter car. Toyota has fitted a 300-hp turbocharged three-cylinder engine, a multi-mode all-wheel-drive system, and a sport-tuned suspension to produce a track-conquering tiny monster that can compete with automotive legends like the Honda Civic Type R and the Volkswagen Golf R.

The sole available gearbox is a six-speed manual, which adds to the GR Corolla’s fun-to-drive personality. This hot hatch, like other GR-branded vehicles, symbolises the height of performance for the Toyota portfolio, and while it’s pricey and difficult to obtain due to restricted production, we believe it’s well worth it.

What’s New for 2024?

Although it was planned to be available just for the GR Corolla’s first model year in 2023, the Circuit Edition trim is now available for 2024, with a new Blue Flame exterior colour and lighter 18-inch forged wheels. When you get the Blue Flame colour, you’ll also get matching blue interior accents and black lower-body decals.

We’d stick with the Core grade and add the Performance option, which includes limited-slip differentials in the front and rear. Unfortunately, the Morizo Edition trim that was available last year is no longer available.

Engine, Transmission, and Performance:

The GR Corolla is powered by a turbocharged three-cylinder engine borrowed from the GR Yaris, a hatchback sold in global regions other than the United States. It has been adjusted for 300 horsepower in the GR Corolla, which is an eye-opening 185.4 horsepower per litre and 43 horsepower more than in the GR Yaris. The single gearbox option is a six-speed manual, and all models include Toyota’s GR-Four all-wheel-drive system. The GR-Four system allows the driver to select between various power-distribution modes, ranging from a 60/40 front-to-rear split for everyday driving to a maximum of 30/70 for drifting shenanigans; a 50/50 split option is meant to provide optimal traction for racing.

Even sporty SE and XSE editions of the Corolla don’t offer remotely racy handling or performance, but changes to the GR’s suspension and powerplant make it a viable challenger in the sport-compact market. Front and rear limited-slip differentials are standard on the Circuit Edition, whereas they are optional on the Core. The GR Corolla we tested took 4.9 seconds to hit 60 mph and 11.4 seconds to reach 100 mph. This is only marginally faster than the Honda Civic Type R and Volkswagen Golf R from the same test, but a win is a win.

The Morizo is a track-focused vehicle featuring lighter-weight forged wheels, a retuned engine producing 295 pound-feet of torque (the standard model generates 273 pound-feet of torque), a specially calibrated suspension, and ultra-sticky Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 rubber. The corneringReal-World MPG and Fuel Economy grip are tenacious, and the GR Corolla rewards its driver with an ideal blend of sure-footedness and politeness on a tight road. While the pedal placement may not be optimal for heel-toe work, the six-speed manual is otherwise simple to row and includes a rev-match option.

Real-World MPG and Fuel Economy:

While the current Corolla is one of the more fuel-efficient alternatives in its class and has a totally somnambulant driving attitude, the high-performance GR model is solely focused on performance. Its little 1.6-litre three-cylinder engine still provides quite good fuel efficiency, but its EPA figures of 21 mpg city and 28 mpg highway are significantly lower than those of the standard Corolla hatchback.

Cargo, Interior, and Comfort:

The GR Corolla’s inside is mostly identical to that of the conventional Corolla hatchback, which means superb build quality, soft-touch materials, and plenty of equipment, but with racier trim and sport seats. Ambient inside lighting, a six-way adjustable driver’s seat, push-button start, and aluminium pedal coverings are all standard features. The Circuit Edition comes standard with automatic climate control, heated seats, and a heated steering wheel, as well as suede and faux-leather upholstery instead of the original model’s cloth.

The Morizo Edition promises even more excitement, but at the expense of practicality; Toyota has deleted the rear seat, rear speakers, and even the hatchback-mounted window wiper to save weight. Less weight means faster lap times. The front seats have a special red-and-black upholstery design, while the shift knob, parking brake lever, and steering wheel rim are trimmed with racy fake suede.

Infotainment and Connectivity:

An 8.0-inch infotainment display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as well as Amazon Alexa functionality and an onboard Wi-Fi hotspot will be standard. The Technology package adds an eight-speaker JBL radio system, a wireless smartphone charging pad, and in-dash navigation to Core versions; these features are standard on the Circuit Edition.

Safety and Driver-Assistance Features

Toyota presently includes much of its driver-assistance technology as standard on the majority of its models, including the GR Corolla. Adaptive cruise control, pedestrian and cyclist recognition, and automatic high-beam headlamps are among the attractive tech features packed together across the portfolio. Visit the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) websites for more information on the GR Corolla’s crash-test results. The following are important safety features:

  • Automatic emergency braking with pedestrian recognition is standard.
  • Lane-departure warning with lane-keeping assistance is standard.
  • Adaptive cruise control as standard

Warranty and Maintenance Coverage:

The GR Corolla, like other Toyotas, will come with a standard warranty package supplemented by a two-year complimentary maintenance plan. The Civic Si does not have such a plan, but the Veloster N provides additional value in the form of extended warranty durations as well as an extra year of free maintenance. All GR Corollas have a one-year membership in the National Auto Sport Association, as well as access to a free high-performance driving class.

  • Three years or 36,000 miles is the length of the limited warranty.
  • The powertrain warranty is valid for five years or 60,000 miles.
  • Free maintenance is provided for two years or 25,000 miles.
