Toyota Tacoma 2023 Price in Pakistan, Features, Specs

Toyota Tacoma 2023 Price in Pakistan. The Toyota Tacoma outsells the company’s full-size pickup truck in comparison to comparable mid-size pickups such as the Chevrolet Colorado or Ford Ranger. This year marks the eighth anniversary of the third-generation Taco, and while customers have grown to love this best-selling mid-sizer, its basic features are beginning to show signs of wear.

While a 278-hp V-6 engine and six-speed manual transmission are optional, a 159-hp inline-four engine and six-speed automatic transmission are standard. The Jeep Gladiator and the Toyota Tacoma are the only pickup trucks available for purchase in the United States. Although the standard engine in Tacoma is the weakest in the class, the rear-drive single-cab variant is significantly less expensive than the Gladiator or Honda Ridgeline.

What’s new for 2023?

Toyota juggled the paint and option packages for 2023, and that’s all there is to it. Buyers can select a blacked-out SX package for the SR or SR5 models, which includes chunky black fender flares and wheels. The SR5 Double Cab Chrome package combines chrome wheels with bright, shiny exterior accents.

Dual-zone climate control is standard on all V6-powered Tacomas, smart keys are standard on V6-powered SR5s, and Limited trucks get power seats and an upgraded 8.0-inch touchscreen. Following that, the TRD Sport is now available in scorching Electric Lime paint, while the TRD Pro’s special colour this year is the orangey-red Solar Octane.

Exterior:

The base 159-hp four-cylinder engine in the Tacoma is underpowered and should be avoided, whereas the optional 278-hp V-6 engine produces 265 lb-ft of torque and provides respectable performance and towing power. Furthermore, we recommend skipping either engine’s finicky six-speed automatic transmission in favour of the V-6’s six-speed manual.

Toyota Tacoma 2023 Exterior

When the automatic supports the larger engine, it suffers as well. While the TRD Off-Road and TRD Pro trims are intended for rougher roads, the TRD Sport and Limited are intended for city driving. None of these decisions, however, are particularly quick. The Tacoma isn’t the best option in terms of handling and ride quality, but it can easily navigate rugged backroads and trails.

Interior:

Being true to your roots is admirable, but Tacoma’s Cabin does not benefit from this strategy. The materials and utilitarian design are from another era—the recent past. Even at the highest trim levels, hard plastics and simple materials are liberally used. The Tacoma, on the other hand, now has a power-adjustable driver’s seat.

Toyota Tacoma 2023 Interior

Tacoma is still known for its small spaces. Because legroom is so limited in Tacoma, passengers will have to cram into the back seat of the crew cab. The Tacoma falls short with few storage compartments and limited carry-on space inside, despite having a five- or six-foot bed with more than enough volume.

Engine, Transmission, and Performance:

The optional 278-hp V-6 engine in the Tacoma produces 265 lb-ft of torque and provides adequate performance and towing power, but the base 159-hp four-cylinder produces only 180 lb-ft of torque and is underpowered and should be avoided. We also recommend avoiding the finicky six-speed automatic transmission with either engine, instead opting for the six-speed manual and the V-6.

What’s new for 2023

Even the larger engine struggles at times when it is supported by the automatic transmission. The TRD Sport and Limited models are designed for city driving, whereas the TRD Off-Road and TRD Pro models prefer rougher terrain. Nonetheless, none of these options is particularly quick. The Tacoma is far from the first choice for ride quality and handling, but it can handle trails and rough back roads with ease.

It can be outfitted to take advantage of dirt-treading or pavement cruising opportunities. The Limited offers a more comfortable and quiet ride than the off-road versions. We drove the Tacoma TRD Pro out west and discovered that its lifted suspension, beefy shock absorbers, and gnarly tyres made it one of the best trucks for off-roading but less fun to drive daily.

Towing and Payload Capacity:

The Tacoma can tow up to 6800 pounds when equipped with rear-wheel drive, and 6500 pounds when equipped with four-wheel drive. The Tacoma’s maximum payload capacity of 1685 pounds is only available on two-wheel-drive models with the four-cylinder engine; opting for four-wheel drive and the V-6 engine results in significantly lower capabilities.

Fuel Economy and Real-World MPG:

The EPA-rated fuel economy of the V-6 Tacoma is in the middle of the pack, but in real-world highway testing, it falls short of more efficient competitors. Although the manual transmission with the V-6 produces the least amount of fuel, it is far more enjoyable to drive.

The Tacoma matched its EPA highway estimate of 23 mpg in our real-world fuel economy test. Nonetheless, this was 5 mpg lower than the Honda Ridgeline and the diesel GMC Canyon.
