The Toyota Vitz 2nd generation debuted in 2005. It featured a new look and was more fuel-efficient. The four-cylinder engine was replaced by a three-cylinder engine, and the 1.3L engine was upgraded as well. It was given a minor facelift in 2010 in terms of the exterior. The Vitz RS was another variation produced in 2005. It had 16-inch alloy rims and was powered by a 1.5-liter 4-cylinder VVT-i engine.
The Toyota Vitz 3rd generation is the most recent model in the line. It was released in 2010 with a new look, sportier features, and a larger interior. It has had two facelifts over the years, one in 2014 and the other in 2017. In the market, the 2014 face-lifted variant is known as the Vitz spider form. A new variation was released with the third generation Toyota Vitz’s second makeover. It was the hybrid series that debuted in Pakistan in 2017 with a hybrid powertrain.

Toyota Vitz Exterior:
The exterior of the Toyota Vitz 2022 has a distinct design language. Sleek thin upswept multi-reflector halogen headlamps, a small grille with a chrome accent, and a huge trapezium air inlet on the front bumper make up the front end. Sharp trapezium-styled side sweeping headlamps and a horizontal chrome trim piece that runs the length of the standard case tailgate adorn the back end.
14-inch steel wheels are standard on both the Toyota Vitz Jewela and the F version. The U model, on the other hand, has a 15-inch steel wheel, while the RS has a 16-inch steel wheel. The Toyota Vitz Jewela and Toyota Vitz F have nearly identical exterior elements, with the exception of the Jewela’s exclusive back logo.
The Toyota Vitz RS has a significantly distinct appearance. A bigger front bumper with a trapezium air inlet flanked by dual air intakes and a rear spoiler can be found on the front end. A front and rear spoiler, front fog lights, Xenon headlights, and rear fog lamps are all included. The styling of all other Toyota Vitz versions is identical in every way. The entire exterior design language of the 3rd Generation Toyota Vitz is rather unusual, allowing it to stand out from its competitors.
The back end has been redesigned as well. The rear looks cleaner and bolder with broader, enlarged back brake lamps and red reflectors at the bottom of the bumper. The reversing camera is hidden beneath a crease above the registration plate slot. The overall appearance is sleek and futuristic, and it looks a lot like the first-generation iPhone.
Toyota Vitz Interior:
The interior of the Toyota Vitz 2022 is black with polished silver accent pieces. Fabric covers both the front and back seats. Manual air conditioning, 8 airbags, cup holders, power lock doors, urethane covered power steering, power windows, tachometer, and a stereo speaker audio system are all standard features on the F version. Power-adjustable mirrors, front fog lights, automatic air conditioning, and heated front seats are all standard on the Toyota Vitz U.
A clever entrance and start system, as well as an adjustable deck board, are included in the U model. Toyota Safety Sense C is included in both the U and Jewela models. Toyota’s pre-crash safety protocol, Safety Sense C, employs laser radar and a monocular camera. Lane departure and automatic high beam alarms are also included in the system.
Only a few variations exist between the F and U models, such as the F variant’s urethane steering wheel against the U variant’s leather steering wheel. Side airbags, satellite navigation, climate control, leather upholstery, electric door mirrors, and cruise control are all available on the Toyota Vitz RS. Steering controls with basic multimedia functions, as well as trip and return functions, are included in the Toyota Vitz 2021 hybrid model.
For a sedan with its outward dimensions, the Toyota Vitz 3rd Generation offers plenty of interior room in both the front and rear seats. It also has a high level of comfort, a smooth ride thanks to its soft suspension system, and a refined interior. One quirk is that the hybrid utilises a standard turn-key ignition system rather than a push-button start.

The Toyota Vitz is available with a variety of engines ranging from 1.0L to 1.5L and transmissions include a five-speed manual, a six-speed manual, a four-speed automatic, and a CVT. The Toyota Vitz F comes in 1.0L, 1.3L, and 1.5L engine variants, with a 1.5L hybrid option. There are two engine options for the Toyota Vitz U variant: a 1.3L engine and a 1.5L engine, the latter of which is available in a hybrid version. The Toyota Vitz RS comes with a 1.5L engine, whereas the Jewela has 1.0L and 1.3L engines.
A 1.5-litre 4-cylinder DOHC internal combustion engine is combined with an electric continuously variable gearbox (CVT) in the hybrid models. The non-hybrid Toyota Vitz U, F, and Jewela models, on the other hand, have a Super CVT-i transmission (Super continuously variable transmission).
Vitz Ride & Handling
Because it is equipped with the Star Safety System, the 2022 Toyota Vitz provides a smooth driving experience. This technology includes vehicle stability control, which enhances the Toyota Vitz 2022’s stability on twisty roads. Even on uneven roads, the availability of traction control allows for a smooth ride.
The Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), in conjunction with Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) and Brake Assist, maintains the car balanced and equally distributes the vehicle’s weight across all four wheels. It also keeps the vehicle from skidding on slick surfaces.
The engine improvement also decreases vibrations induced by high speeds, making the Toyota Vitz 2021 much easier to handle. In the hybrid variants, the electric-powered steering has been sports-tuned for improved responsiveness.
